Lucia Sarto was born in the province of Udine in 1950. In 1961 in Trieste, she won the First Prize at the Regional Painting Competition for middle school students. Her artistic training took place between Venice and Turin, cities in which she participated with considerable success in the first important group exhibitions.
It is in Turin, a famous center of Culture and Italian Art, that she is consecrated as Painter of the Year in a solo exhibition at the Palazzo della Regione with the most significant works of her ‘Romantic Realism’. She has to her credit more than one hundred exhibitions, of which about fifty are solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
1979
In 1979 at Como receives “Pittrice dell’anno” prize.
1980
In 1980 at the “Palazzo delle manifestazioni” in Como receives the prize “ Costa amatori” for the exhibition of her work on transatlantic and international cruise ships.
1981
In 1981 her personal gallery “La Cave” in Treviso is presented.
1983
In 1983 an anthological exhibition at the picture gallery of the “Museo Civico” of Lucera( Foggia).
1983/84
Between 1983 and 1984 it is indicated as one of the important solo exibitions at “ Galleria Kuck di Eschweiler(Aquisgrana”, at Caste Mews Gallery of London and at the International Kunst Messe

She is present from 1984 in the prestigious Galleria Otto of Vienna, where every year her works are exhibited.
1986/87
In the following two years 1986-1987 participates at Art Fears of Paris and Los Angeles.

Presents in 1986 all the editions of Poggibonsi Arte, an important exhibition planed and promoted by Tommaso Giotti.
1988
In spring 1988 she partecipates with a large canvas entitled “Visitazione”, in the Rassegna Internazionale del Sacro witch takes place in Spoleto al the Church of Sant Niccolò, organized under The Hight Patronage of the Holy See and the Municipality of Spoleto.

In 1993 a solo exhibition at Palazzo Affari in Firenze.

Her works have been exhibited at the following venues: since 1993 at the S.Giorgio gallery in Portofino (GE), since 1995 at the Decò Art Gallery in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD), and since 2004 at the Melori & Rosenberg Gallery in Venice.

From 1998 to 2005 participates at Art Expo of New York.

In May 2005, she participated in ‘Venice – Views on Ghetto’, an exhibition curated by Melori & Rosenberg, inaugurated in Venice on the occasion of Republic Day. The exhibition later became itinerant and was hosted at the Italian Museum of Jewish Art in Jerusalem, and by the Italian Cultural Institutes in Haifa and Tel Aviv.
2005
In September 2005, on the occasion of the VII European Day of Jewish Culture, the Melori & Rosenberg Gallery inaugurated a solo exhibition by the artist in the historic ‘Leon da Modena’ room, titled ‘The Poetry of the Moment’.

In April 2006 Lucia Sarto exhibits her works at “Otto Galerie” of Vienna.

From 1 to 31 December 2006 participates at the important collective “SMALLWORKS” at Addison Gallery in Boca Raton (Florida).

From February 2007 she is in exposition at the Thornwood Gallery, Houston (Texas).

February of the same year Addison Gallery organizes “One woman exhibition” at Boca Raton (Florida) that lasts until March 2007.

From June 2007 her originals are permantely on exhibition at Behr-Thyssen, Manhattan New York City. The June number of the prestigious magazine Art world news, pubblishes an interesting article of her works to coincide with this event.

From 4th to 25th January 2008 the Thornwood Gallery exhibits twenty of her most recent works.

2008 The gardens of the soul, solo exhibition at the A&D Art Gallery in Como.

In October 2009, the A&D in Como organizes a solo exhibition titled “Paths” promoted by AMACI on the Day of Contemporary Art and with the sponsorship of the municipality of Como.

In December of the same year participates at the cultured project – 15² KUNST Macht Schule – in Amburgo, with an auction at Sotheby’s of London.

In 2010, she participates in Venice in the significant group exhibition “In the Space of the Cross”, organized by the Melori & Rosenberg Gallery in collaboration with the Church of San Salvador.

From May 16, 2010, the Melori & Rosenberg Gallery in Venice presents Lucia Sarto in “Interior Colors”, a solo exhibition that opens the series of exhibitions on the theme “Kitchen”.
